Digital copiers- also called multifunction copiers which produce less noise than analog copiers and are better at reproducing fine lines and photographs. Digital Co lour copy machines: Co lour copiers support co lour printing and work much like a computer scanner connected to a laser printer. The co lour copier scans an original document and transfers the information via laser to a charged image drum. The co lour toner then adheres to the charged areas of the drum, the copier heats the toner, and a permanent image fuses onto paper. High-end co lour copiers apply all four colors in a single application while low-end co lour copiers take four passes of the same image, rolling paper around the drum each time it applies a co lour. A few manufacturers will continue to offer the upgrades after the copiers are discontinued. But don't wait too long if you are thinking about adding printing, scanning or faxing options as most manufacturers discontinue the options as soon as the copier is replaced by a new model. Thus you are better off buying the multifunctional accessories now if you plan to buy them later.
